Exclusive: Pier 48 Spectacular Showcase

Wow, it has been awhile since our last post. We have so many things to tell you about! We have been busy designing for weddings, corporate events and fun networking events like "A Spectacular Showcase at Pier 48" hosted by AT&T Park, Classic Party Rentals and Got Light? The event at Pier 48 last Wednesday night was a great party! We had a fun time seeing our fellow designers work, meeting new people and catching up with friends.

We designed for 3 different sections of the event, French Country, Modern Color and Contemporary Rustic. Here are some shots that we took at the event to share with all of you...we are in no way photographers but we did our best.

 French Country:

Cheerful country arrangements of Icelandic Poppies, Vibernum, Ranunculas, Brazilia Berries, Ladies Mantle and Mini Roses designed in gold mercury glass vases.

A more modern take on French Country with beautiful peach French Tulips, fluffy golden Ranunculas and fresh green Vibernum designed in a footed gold mercury glass vase

Modern Color:

Clean monochromatic arrangements highlighted the tables in this sleek colorful lounge area.
Monochromatic arrangements of blue Hydrangea, yellow Callas with yellow Acacia and fire orange Mini Roses. All were connected together with strips of variegated green flax.
Sleek end table arrangements of deep purple Anenomes and deep purple Lisianthus designed in modern brushed stainless steel vases.

 Contemporary Rustic:

A sculptural centerpiece of sandblasted Grapevine with deep plum Callas, Sterling Roses, Succulents and accented with strands of lime green Bullion wire.
Clusters of gold mercury glass votives surrounded the centerpiece for a touch of warmth and sparkle.
Place settings were accented with deep plum Ranunculas and deep purple Anemones to add a soft texture and a pop of color against the white china.

We hope these inspire you.

Real Wedding: Marie and Todd

We had the pleasure of working with Marie and Todd for their October wedding at Paradise Ridge Winery in Santa Rosa. Well we didn't see Todd till the day of the wedding but we new that he really likes succulents. It was great to have a bride that had everything under control and organized with a sweet personality, Marie was more than great to work with through the entire design process.

It was a simple and elegant wine country wedding with textured flowers and rich fall tones that Alison Yin Photography captured beautifully in her images.

Love how one of the groomsmen is mid-air in this picture.

Rich bouquets of dahlias, toyan berries, ranunculas, succulents and callas.

These two are so cute that we had to include this picture.

The image on the left shows the giftbook table wine glass arrangement that we designed in a terrarium style using callas, croscosmia, succulents and toyan berries.

The simple and romantic centerpieces were lanterns the bride provided that we adorned with dahlias, succulents, cymbidium orchids and toyan berries.

Totally cute and fun cupcake display from the wonderful Kara's Cupcakes, that we accented with pops of burgundy dahlias and green succulents.

Such a breathtaking view we had to share it with you.

We wish Marie and Todd a long and happy marriage!

A big thank you again to Alison Yin for the images.

Press: Project Wedding

This week, Project Wedding was kind enough to feature our designs from Jenna and Scott's beautiful Napa Valley wedding on their popular blog called "One Lovely Day"!  Project wedding itself is a well-known wedding website where brides can go in order to find their wedding dresses, pick out weddings songs, get fabulous ideas for their big day!

The wedding design was referred to as "Modern Elegance in Napa Valley", they praised the bold color choices and the lush vineyards that surrounded the venue.

"I could gaze for days at the mesmerizing calla lilly, orchid, and rose bouquets by Michael Daigian Design."

Stunning photos by La Vie Photography.

Project Wedding also told Jenna and Scott's unique story of how they fell in love through and online dating site, where they went through several awkward dates and soon realized they were meant to be.

"Three cheers to finding love on the Internet!"

Thank you Project Wedding for sharing this beautiful wedding!

Real Wedding: Tracy & Jeff

A modern wedding at a classic San Francisco venue. The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco's terrace level ballroom is as classic as you can get and the couple getting married there were young and fun, with that in mind we designed elegant white and green arrangements with a quirky twist.

For the bridal party we combined classic and modern elegance. Tracy carried a classic round white bridal bouquet of David Austin's, callas, ranunculas, freesia and roses. While her bridesmaids carried a more modern bright green bouquet design with looped flax leaves, dahlias, orchids, parrot tulips and broccoli hydrangea.

Tall elegant white callas in the cocktail area with looped green flax leaves as a collar.

Gorgeous vibrant blue hydrangea with tall white callas curved throughout the arrangement with wire to have a more sculptural look. Placing the arrangement on a tall vase lined with variegated flax leaves gave it that extra pop.

We brought in gold chiavari chairs to keep it clean and elegant to compliment the venue.

Green Kermit Mum pomander balls were hung at every other row down either side of the aisle.

We re-purposed the aisle decor by removing the ribbon and adding to the guest tables to complete the composite centerpiece. Taller vase with hydrangea, lisianthus and stock and the lower arrangement with dahlias, parrot tulips and cymbidium orchids.

Head table had a long and low arrangement in the middle with pomander balls and their bouquets flanking it to add more color to the table.

Special last minute cocktail table arrangements with amazing white dahlias, parrot tulips and brocolli hydrangea. We used vintage inspired vases that we painted white for a fun contrast against the green linens.
You can't see it in the picture but this cake was designed to look like it was made out of huge Lego pieces and the topper had a Lego bride and groom. Fun and unexpected just like the couple!

Ceremony Magazine: City Scene Soiree

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of designing a stunning wedding table for a photo shoot at Ceremony Magazine's premiere wedding industry event, known as the City Scene Soiree. The event took place at the Pavilion By The Bay on Treasure Island, which overlooked the stunning San Francisco cityscape.

The table we designed for the photo shoot was complete with lush fuschia and orange floral arrangements that covered the table from end to end. In order to contrast the vibrant flowers, we used several different textured silver vases that added a unique modern element to the design. We continued to add silver accents throughout by attaching satin ruffled chair skirts, a silver pin-tuck table linen, and glimmering silver china.

Talk about a view!

We dressed the silver dinner ware with a bright teal napkin and a vibrant orange pin cushion.
In the tall centerpiece arrangement we placed mango calla lilies which added unique height to the table.

We added a few small colorful flower arrangements in silver square vases in the cocktail area, then accented them with wire wrapped votive candles.

We designed a beautiful and unique bouquet using the same flowers as the dinner table, then wrapped the handle with a fun orange striped ribbon.

In the main lounge area we created three unique pieces that allowed the modern table design to flow through out the room.

Could you imagine this at YOUR wedding?

We want to thank Classic Party Rentals, Wild Flower Linens, and Ceremony Magazine for  allowing us to create such a beautiful table design!
