Trend: Succulents

If you didn't know, well now you know...Succulents are in!

We know some of you might be thinking to yourself "succulents have been trending for awhile", which is true but most of the time it has been for rustic or earthy designs. Now we are seeing and using them more often in almost any type of event from whimsical or gardeny to modern or elegant and even romantic. Succulents are a great accent to modernize and add interesting texture to any arrangement.

Here are some examples of our work where succulents used in different ways.

You can find more on our Facebook page too!

An unexpected twist to a classic garden arrangement.

Great for boutonnieres and bouquets to hold through the entire wedding...even through all the hugs

A great pop of green with other vibrant colors and fun textures like coxcomb or parrot tulips.

We know you don't want to think about it but the holidays are upon us and if you are in the mood for something different think about adding succulents into your holiday decor.

Real Wedding: Nicole and Shaun

Two weekends ago we had the pleasure of traveling up north along the coast to Bodega Bay to help celebrate Nicole and Shaun's beautiful marriage. The couple could not have asked for better weather on their wedding day, the skies were crystal clear, sun shining bright, and views of the ocean stretching as far as you could see!

The wedding ceremony took place on the 6th hole which over looked the ocean at The Links golf course in Bodega Bay Harbor. After the ceremony the bride, groom, and guests headed over to the family's amazing private home where cocktails, dinner, and dancing awaited!

Nicole was such a great bride to work with, not to mention she looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day!

White, blush and peach bridal bouquet of garden roses, lisianthus, ranunculas and dusty miller

We placed large lush floral arrangements upon two silver painted classic pedestals which created the perfect focal point at the wedding without blocking the amazing view.

We gave each of the flower girls a delicate white basket filled with blush rose petals to toss down the aisle.
The design for the wedding reception was 1920s inspired with peach, white, coral and grey flowers, over 400 candles, and Tiffany blue accents throughout the room.

In each arrangement we added delicate tuffs of white ostrich feathers that played nicely into the 1920s design.

Each dinner table was lined from beginning to end with low floral arrangements in julep vases accented with mercury glass votives in varying heights and crystal candle stands with tall white tapers.

Cute accents to the bride and groom's chairs that played off the classic 20s look. Hanging frames with "Bride" and "Groom" in a Great Gatsby inspired font.

On this day, we not only had the pleasure of creating beautiful floral designs for Nicole and Shaun's ceremony and reception, but we were able to work with a fabulous event design company know as Fiore Style. The Fiore duo, Chris Vasquez and Nathan Heinrich, custom built a chic lounge area that was accented beautifully with a vintage chandelier in which they hand placed crystals on to. Each element of the design, from the flowers to the candles and the vintage chandelier created a beautiful and chic 1920s inspired event!
