Real Wedding: Gina & Andrew
A perfect Spring day in San Francisco for a wedding at the historic Ferry Building. The bride loves Red but wanted it to look more like Spring, so we softened the look with white, blush, grey and muted greens. Modern silver textured vases for a little sparkle and drama, succulents for texture and gorgeous Cafe Au Lait dahlias to add that touch of Blush. The fab team that is Kim and Niki Photography captured the decor beautifully.
This wedding was just featured in the Wedding section of 7x7 online as well, check it out here.
Beautiful all red bouquet for the bride....such a great picture!
Elegant arrangements of deep red dahlias, white hydrangea, Amigo blush roses, eucalyptus berries, dusty miller, Cafe Au Lait dahlias and succulents.

Real Wedding: Olympic Club Lakeside
A beautiful day in April for a wedding at the Olympic Club. We had the pleasure of working with Marisa from the fabulous Rebecca Reategui Weddings & Special Events. The look was classic, elegant and romantic with tints and shades of purple and lilac mixed in with beautiful white hydrangeas. The custom fabric and floral Chuppah was the focal piece of the ceremony and later on for the dancing portion of the wedding. The wonderful Janae Shields captured all of our designs beautifully and we are happy to share them with you.

Featured on:
Andrew Weeks Photography blog post for Darcy and Kevin's wedding we did at the Presidio Chapel and the fabulous Bimbos 365. Check out his blog post here with all the amazing pictures. Such a fun couple!
Grey Likes Weddings featured Juli and Conor's very romantic and intimate wedding that we designed for at Anderson Ranch in Kenwood, thanks to Scott Andrew Studio. The couple was like straight out of a magazine and the venue was breathtaking as well. Check out the feature here.

Exclusive: Pier 48 Spectacular Showcase
Wow, it has been awhile since our last post. We have so many things to tell you about! We have been busy designing for weddings, corporate events and fun networking events like "A Spectacular Showcase at Pier 48" hosted by AT&T Park, Classic Party Rentals and Got Light? The event at Pier 48 last Wednesday night was a great party! We had a fun time seeing our fellow designers work, meeting new people and catching up with friends.
We designed for 3 different sections of the event, French Country, Modern Color and Contemporary Rustic. Here are some shots that we took at the event to share with all of you...we are in no way photographers but we did our best.

Trends: 2013 Color of the Year
Drum roll please......its Emerald Green! The 2013 color of the year is the magical, mysterious and enchanting color of Emerald Green. It evokes the feeling of youthful glamour when you wear it, elegance and status when used in home decor and an enchanting "regal-ness" when used for a wedding or an event's table design.
Here is some inspiration we pulled together that we were drawn to and we hope they inspire you!

Whimsical Retro inspiration board:
Chic Modern inspiration board:
Emerald Green is great as a textile or container accent for a wedding or event because it is hard to get that real Emerald color in a flower. Try using bright colored flowers like fuchsia orange or yellow to add a fun pop of contrast against a Emerald Green linen or vase. Or if you want to go all out green you can go with Chartreuse green flowers like hydrangea, parrot tulips, viburnum or ranunculas.

Press: Ceremony Magazine 2013 Issue
We are so excited to be featured in the 2013 issue of Ceremony Magazine San Francisco/Bay Area! We have 2 fabulous weddings in there that are very different from each other. One is soft and classic, the other is bright and whimsical. We also have 2 beautiful table designs we did for Ceremony Magazine that are featured in the new issue, pick up a copy of the new issue when they hit stands in a week or see the digital version here.
Emily and Scott's flight themed wedding was fun and colorful at the beautiful Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. Joyce from Events of Distinction brought us on the team to design the florals and bring her vision to life. From custom stage panels to "floating" clouds of carnations, everything was custom made. Always keeping it fun and exciting, thanks Joyce!
Lindsay and Jake's wedding was a Secret Garden meets Royal Wedding kinda soiree. Held at Flood Mansion in San Francisco with a lush Chuppah of garden roses and trailing vines for the ceremony and elegant tall arrangements of dogwood for the long reception tables, this wedding was beautiful. For this wedding we worked with Shannon Leahy Events. Shannon's weddings always turn out tasteful and timeless, thanks Shannon! And we wouldn't be able to share it with you without the amazing photographs from First Comes Love Photo, thank you Alison.
We had a ball at the City Scene Soiree with the team from Ceremony Magazine. Our table top design is on the right page with the hot pink and orange flowers on the silver linen and coffee table. We used mango callas, gloriosa lilies, coxcomb and other interesting flowers for this "Modern Femininity" table design.
Part of the MDD team goofing off for the camera at the City Scene Soiree event.
Thank you Amy, Jim, Lindsey and Jennifer from Ceremony Magazine!
