Real Wedding: Tracy & Jeff

A modern wedding at a classic San Francisco venue. The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco's terrace level ballroom is as classic as you can get and the couple getting married there were young and fun, with that in mind we designed elegant white and green arrangements with a quirky twist.

For the bridal party we combined classic and modern elegance. Tracy carried a classic round white bridal bouquet of David Austin's, callas, ranunculas, freesia and roses. While her bridesmaids carried a more modern bright green bouquet design with looped flax leaves, dahlias, orchids, parrot tulips and broccoli hydrangea.

Tall elegant white callas in the cocktail area with looped green flax leaves as a collar.

Gorgeous vibrant blue hydrangea with tall white callas curved throughout the arrangement with wire to have a more sculptural look. Placing the arrangement on a tall vase lined with variegated flax leaves gave it that extra pop.

We brought in gold chiavari chairs to keep it clean and elegant to compliment the venue.

Green Kermit Mum pomander balls were hung at every other row down either side of the aisle.

We re-purposed the aisle decor by removing the ribbon and adding to the guest tables to complete the composite centerpiece. Taller vase with hydrangea, lisianthus and stock and the lower arrangement with dahlias, parrot tulips and cymbidium orchids.

Head table had a long and low arrangement in the middle with pomander balls and their bouquets flanking it to add more color to the table.

Special last minute cocktail table arrangements with amazing white dahlias, parrot tulips and brocolli hydrangea. We used vintage inspired vases that we painted white for a fun contrast against the green linens.
You can't see it in the picture but this cake was designed to look like it was made out of huge Lego pieces and the topper had a Lego bride and groom. Fun and unexpected just like the couple!

Real Wedding: Lindsay & Jake

We had the pleasure of working with Shannon Leahy of Shannon Leahy Events on Lindsay and Jake's "Secret Garden" inspired wedding at Flood Mansion in San Francisco this past May. The photos that Alison Bank from First Comes Love Photo took are beautiful, they really showcase the simple enchanting elegance of the wedding.

Kate Moss inspired bridal bouquet with ranunculas, garden roses, lily of the valley and a single succulent accent with trailing white lace.
Bridesmaid bouquets

Simple bridesmaid bouquets of white peonies and ivy. The handle was accented with a tiny vintage key attached to the handle with ivory lace, to continue the "Secret Garden" theme.

The beautiful bride and her adorable flower girl with her  "Royal Wedding" inspired head wreath.
Elegant succulent boutonniere that will last all night and an adorable white ranuncula boutonniere with ivy accent.
Lovely cake from LRE Catering with our touches of ranunculas, succulents and garden roses.
Our amazing "Secret Garden" Chuppah for the ceremony in the courtyard at Flood Mansion. Our birch Chuppah was adorned with two kinds of dogwood, garden roses and trailing ivy.

Dogwood branches in tall clear pilsner vases with ivy and jasmine trailing down the center of the tables at the reception in the Main Hall at Flood Mansion.
The groom loves artichokes so we had to sneak some into the cocktail table arrangements with a lush white peony in a silver julep cup.
Amazing few of the city as the sun is setting.

Ceremony Magazine: City Scene Soiree

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of designing a stunning wedding table for a photo shoot at Ceremony Magazine's premiere wedding industry event, known as the City Scene Soiree. The event took place at the Pavilion By The Bay on Treasure Island, which overlooked the stunning San Francisco cityscape.

The table we designed for the photo shoot was complete with lush fuschia and orange floral arrangements that covered the table from end to end. In order to contrast the vibrant flowers, we used several different textured silver vases that added a unique modern element to the design. We continued to add silver accents throughout by attaching satin ruffled chair skirts, a silver pin-tuck table linen, and glimmering silver china.

Talk about a view!

We dressed the silver dinner ware with a bright teal napkin and a vibrant orange pin cushion.
In the tall centerpiece arrangement we placed mango calla lilies which added unique height to the table.

We added a few small colorful flower arrangements in silver square vases in the cocktail area, then accented them with wire wrapped votive candles.

We designed a beautiful and unique bouquet using the same flowers as the dinner table, then wrapped the handle with a fun orange striped ribbon.

In the main lounge area we created three unique pieces that allowed the modern table design to flow through out the room.

Could you imagine this at YOUR wedding?

We want to thank Classic Party Rentals, Wild Flower Linens, and Ceremony Magazine for  allowing us to create such a beautiful table design!

Press: Grace Ormonde Wedding Style

We are so excited to be featured in the new Fall/Winter 2012 issue of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazine, the magazine hits stores today.

This table design was really fun for us to get to use some of our favorite types of flowers in unique ways. Joyce from Events of Distinction designed the triangle table layout and set the tone for us at Michael Daigian Design to create designs that were modern and unique.

The photo shoot took place on the upper level of Terra Gallery in San Francisco. The staff there was so amazing and accommodating, they even moved a painting for us from downstairs to our shoot location that matched our table perfectly. If you are unfamiliar with this venue please check out their website and think of them for your next event. We have been to many event's at Terra and designed for weddings that took place there. It is a perfect location if you want a unique open space or a "blank canvas" to create any type of style or look you want for your event.

Roberta from Resource One Inc. took the desired look, shape and feel of the table and created these custom linens and chair covers.
About 250 tall white calla's were used to create this custom floral chandelier. We even designed it took look like it was hanging from a calla stem.

Underneath this large chandelier we covered the mechanics with green galax leaves and you can see that the callas were stacked on top of each other to create the chandelier.

Designing free standing succulent runners took time and patience but we think it was worth it, don't you?
We used succulents, green fuzzy dianthus and milk plant to create this vibrant green and amazingly textured table runner.
We wrapped tall votive holders and the container of the middle low arrangement with a mesh of black crystals to give a subtle touch of bling to the table.
Overhead shot while we are still putting the table design together at Terra Gallery in SF.
Low diamond shaped arrangement of yellow pin cushions, succulents and white phaleanopsis orchids was placed under the large chandelier to balance out the visual weight.
Black and silver footed vases from Accent Decor held clean lined arrangements of tall white callas, yellow pin cushions and succulents.
We accented the tall arrangements with black mesh to add a modern non-floral texture

The table is ready for its close-up now!

Here's a little behind the scenes video clip of the photo shoot!
(Sorry for the shaking...)

Thank you to Roberta (Resource One Inc), Joyce (Events of Distinction), Classic Party Rentals, Catherine Hall Photography and Terra Gallery for all your hard work. We had a great time working with everyone on this shoot!

Press: Alli & Cole featured in The Knot

We are excited to announce that we are featured in the new Fall/Winter 2012 issue of The Knot Northern California for Alli and Cole's San Francisco wedding at Pavilion by the Bay.

We had the best time designing custom fashion inspired arrangements and food stations with Joyce Scardina-Becker from Events of Distinction, for this "Fashionably Ever After" wedding. From using Serger thread spools as containers for the cocktail table arrangements to custom making larger than life stacked spools of thread for the escort card display.

Meg Perotti and her team took amazing photographs, as they always do. Meg perfectly captured the hip and fun personalities of the couple in all the shots.

When the bride,in her beautiful dress, entered the outdoor ceremony on the back of a motorcycle with her father driving we said " that's it, this wedding is made to be in magazines".

"The fashionable couple planned an ultra-modern affair in black, white, gray, and vibrant purple, with graphic patterns for added punch."-The Knot

We used black and white checkered fabric to wrap the whimsical reception bar arrangements to pick up the checkered print from the groomsmen shoes

The weather was perfect and with a view like that what more can you ask for.

Please take a look at more shots of Alli and Coles wedding on Facebook.
