Wedding: Shila & Curt's Vow Renewal, Terra Gallery
The vow renewal wedding at the Terra Gallery was a one-of-a-kind gorgeous event. The centerpieces were created by using silver painted manzanita branches adorned with six votive candles with a display of purple, fuchsia, and orange flowers. And of course lots of crystals were hung on each branch. The bride didn't want her bouquet to be a typical round-shaped bouquet, so we created a cascade bouquet with purple phalaenopsis orchids dripping down. Cascade bouquet is a teardrop-shaped bouquet, somewhat rounded at the top and falling to a point at the bottom. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Annett Kevranian, event producer and a co-founder of Method42, to create bride's dream look. The night was truly romantic and spectacular.

Trend: Eco Chic-Fabulously Green
Green is the new white. From weddings, to interior design to fashion, being green is becoming one of the most important aspects to modern life. We have listed some of our favorite examples in green design.
Michael Daigian Design recently constructed this vignette out of birch, hanging amaranthus, succulants, and green cymbidium orchids, for an Eco-themed ISES (International Special Events Society) event.
This Green Fusion installation was by renowned floral artist Jenny Tabaracci, AIFD. Jenny says that her "Green Fusion" vignette was inspired by the global movement toward saving the planet. After the event, apples were donated to local farms and succulents were reused and replanted. She suggests to use locally grown flowers and LED (Light Emitting Diodes) lighting, which consumes less power, lasts longer, and contains no toxins. Not only Jenny is known for her innovative floral designs but she is also known as one of the most 'eco conscious' designers. Please visit jennytabarracci.com for more info.
We are very excited to write about b(Earth), organic baby clothing company based in Seattle. They use only 100% organic, sweatshop-free cotton in their products. Even their labels are made from 100% organic cotton. You can receive updates and discount offers regularly on http://www.facebook.com/bearthclothing. The founder of the company, Luke Wilson, says that their mission is to provide clothing that is equally hip, comfortable, functional, and most importantly - as safe for your baby as it is for the environment. We can't wait to see their future products!
If you are dreaming of a fabulous vacation in eco chic style, check out Soneva Resort's zero- carbon-emission pool villa in Thailand, recently featured in Vogue Living Australia.

Wedding: Rebecca & Steve, Nicasio
We were thrilled to be a part of Rebecca & Steve's wedding. Rebecca has always been an equestrian so it was fitting to celebrate their wedding surrounded by beautiful horses at a wonderful family ranch in Nicasio. The overall look was rustic yet very chic. How gorgeous were the fuchsia garden roses and peonies against the black bridesmaid dresses! Black cosmos on the cascading bridal bouquet were a stylish way to accentuate the whole look. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day.

This Week's Favorite
This lush arrangement, full of fragrance from garden roses and geranium leaves, was for one of our best clients. Using herbs in the arrangement such as geranium, mint, and lemon balm adds a fresh look as well as a wonderful fragrance and beautiful texture.

Wedding: Sarah & Ron, Bently Reserve
Sarah and Ron said "I do" at the Bently Reserve, one of the most glamorous and opulent venues, located in the heart of downtown San Francisco. The wedding planner, Morgan Doan of Events by Morgan, put together a fabulous wedding, as always. Bride chose simple presentation bouquets using Cala lilies adorned with crystal pins. It was a stunning red carpet event!

Wedding Invitations
When you order the Cameo letterpress wedding invitation design from Belle Figura, they create silhouettes of you and your fiance from your profile photographs (at no additional cost) to use in the invitation design. The muted color palette of cream, blueberry blue and burgundy rose would look great with the creamy phalaenopsis orchid centerpiece we created for a recent wedding (shown above).
Here is a botanical themed wedding invitation Ceci New York created for Carter and Fred. The theme would be great to match with the altar flower piece designed by Michael Daigian, using pink cherry blossom branches.
Volta Press, one of our favorite custom letterpress stores located in East Bay, creates beautiful weddings/events invitations. Their customer service is excellent, and they will satisfy all of your printing and invitation needs. Check out their Etsy Shop for high quality letterpress cards and invitations. These earthy tone invitations remind me of the wristlet we created using Cattleya orchids.
